Everyone's got a plan, until they get punched in the face

It's been a long time since I've posted in here, but I think I should chronicle some of the things happening lately. I'm still grinding, mainly live local and casino cash games. I have just returned from the World Series of Poker and my excursion into Las Vegas for the first time. The city is great, a sportbook everywhere you look and more poker tables per square mile then anywhere on the planet. I spent very little time at a poker time however and used the trip more of a vacation and mental release than anything else. I played in the one WSOP event I was allowing myself this year which was the $1500 PLO8 Event 47. I wish I would have examined the structure sheet better before committing to this tournament, as you started with 1500 in chips and then were allowed 2 add-ons of 1500 through the first 3 levels. I instantly added on and started the tournament with 4500. Looking back, I probably should not have done that and should have tried to gamble that 1500 up as much as possible until I busted it then rebuy for 3k if needed. Even with this possible mistake, I was able to make it until the end of day one, busting late that night in 275 ish place out of 978 about 100 away from the money. It was a grindfest, I was hardly able to get anything going. I think my high point was about 7k. I got it in with top set twice only to be runner-runnered by a low to split the pot in both instances. One example of this was when I held AA4J on a board of A9Q rainbow. I bet the flop and was raised to which I re-shoved for a total pot of about 5k. (This is in the first hour btw). The villain turns over Q234 for top pair and a dream of splitting the pot. Of course the backdoor low draw hits and we split. Almost the same scenario happened to me later that day. Another pivotal moment was the last hand before the 2nd break, so 4 hours in. I pot it preflop with AA57 and have an old nit with about a 2k stack, call off 1/3 of his chips. Flop comes J78. I put him all in and he calls with A237. Turn comes a 3 and he scoops me.Bust out hand was A3QQ, I was down to 2200 in chips with blinds 400-800. I pot to 2100. Nit behind me insta re-raises. I just laughed and put my last 100 in knowing he has aces. He turns over AA3x and scoops. Next year, I will aim to play the 3k plo8 tournament with some backing as it seems to be a better structured tournament. For now it's back to grinding the local and casino games. The gang just discovered a local plo8 cash game that runs twice a week. It's a dealers choice game, but everyone seems to like to pick plo8. Hopefully this game will be a goldmine for us. We scooped over 700 combined dollars in our first crack at the $1/$1 game. A famous boxer said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched." Well, Vegas certainly punched me in the face but I have a year to rebound and take another shot.

waaaaaaat up kids! It's been a while but thats okay because i've been losing losing losing. anyways here's a new update, it's the final table of a 6 dollar 90 man knockout tournament on full tilt. I give my views on the sharkscope hud as well as talk through some good final table strategy. the video messed up and I actually ended up winning this tourney and playing really well heads up, while talking about how to chop down weak tight players hu by reducing your standard raise to 1.5x..2x..and even min raising if they let you. I ran over this guy heads up, but its all for nothing because no vid of it. Also the audio is a little messed up it fast forwards faster than the film, so bare with it. This video was so good, I was really proud of it but of course technical errors, audio errors and half of the video has to disappear. bad beat. anyway enjoy, peace!

Hey, I'm officially done with cash games for awhile. So enjoy the clips of my last big cash game..paul sexton makes an appearance, and a big hero call in part 2. I'm going to go back to grinding out 90 mans, probably the 6 and 12 dollar ones. They're the only games where I really make consistent profit. I'm giving up iron man, just gonna get silver this month to get the 5k ftp bonus with 150 medals. back to the grindgrindgrind.

Hello, I'm a low stakes grinder who can play all the games and basically loses all the time. I'm down like a grand in the past 72 hours. ugh. and the new full tilt update totally tilts me when I multi table, the only beneficial thing from it is the hand replayer. Anyways I was crushing the 3 dollar rebuy 9.5k teed tourney on tilt 1 out of 300 people at second break..then decided to bluff j10 into a guy on every street who thought ace high was good for his tournament life..and it was. Same guy had kings the next hand and I was in the pot with him when an ace flopped..i had 78 suited, my read was that he had kings. I timed out when he bet after contemplating re raising, but ultimately folding knowing the donkey would probably call. To make a long story short, I min cashed because I don't win races. Oh, I forgot the 7 game mixed on full tilt are awesome now, another place for me to lose my money in cash games. I bubbled two 26 dollar stud tournies today as well, things are just not flowwing. here is a sample video..jsut for fun cause i can never get them to work
